Trisha Hall
MA, LPC, NCC
As a mental health counselor, Trisha helps people manage emotional challenges like anxiety, stress, and trauma. She provides a safe space to explore feelings, develop coping strategies, and work toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
Philosophy
Trisha believes therapy is most effective when it treats the whole person, not just symptoms. Her approach is person-centered, meaning clients are the experts on their own lives. She works in partnership with them, letting their unique experiences and goals lead the way. She takes a holistic view of wellness, acknowledging how mental, emotional, and physical health are deeply interconnected.
Clinical Approach
While the therapeutic relationship is the foundation, Trisha provides tangible tools for life's challenges. Her practice is trauma-informed, prioritizing each client's safety and empowerment. She primarily integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to reshape unhelpful thought patterns, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to build skills in emotional regulation and mindfulness, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to process and release trauma stored in the mind and body. She is EMDRIA-EMDR trained and has completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Experience & Education
Trisha earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. Her training focused on evidence-based treatment for diverse populations, and she has experience supporting individuals through anxiety, depression, and substance-use disorder, as well as the unique nuances of mixed-faith relationships.
Beyond the Office
Outside the office, Trisha stays grounded by spending time with her family, traveling, tending to her garden, or lounging in her hammock. She believes we all function best when we make room for what brings us joy, and she strives to bring that same authenticity into every session.
